Reporting on the breaking news team, writing breaking and enterprise stories ranging from crime to politics to viral news. Since May 2019, editing on Sundays, leading coverage and overseeing a diverse team of reporters.

The Orange County Register August 2009 — August 2014

Reported on crime, courts and breaking news November 2012 to August 2014 for daily print and online publication. Previously reported on three cities in south Orange County with a combined population of 120,000 people. Wrote, edited and managed the Food Frenzy blog as well as contributed restaurant reviews to the Life section.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution June 2009 — August 2009

Assisted the database specialist in computer-assisted reporting, creating Web content and submitting public records requests.

The State Press August 2007 — May 2009

Served as News Editor 2008-2009 for Arizona State University’s independent daily newspaper, with a circulation of 10,000. Responsibilities included training reporters, editing articles and coordinating daily coverage. Previously reported on science and the arts.

The Arizona Republic January 2008 — December 2008

Covered Phoenix-area police and fire departments during the Spring 2008 semester as a member of the breaking news team. Covered the Southwest Valley public safety beat in the Fall 2008 semester.

The Blaze 1260 AM September 2005 — May 2008

Wrote and anchored hourly news updates as well as editing audio packages for the weekly news magazine program. Trained other anchors and edited copy.
